The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) is requesting comments on how input from non-metropolitan local officials is gathered during development of two key planning documents:
- Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP): Identifies federally funded transportation projects planned over the next four years.
- Statewide Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP): Establishes long-term transportation priorities and investment strategies for Oklahoma.
ODOT works with local officials throughout these processes and has prepared a document outlining this approach, titled the Cooperative Process for Consulting Non-Metropolitan Local Officials. This document explains how participation and feedback are collected and incorporated in accordance with federal planning requirements.
